I've known Owen for a number of years since he joined the Governing Board of the Exeter Children's Federation. He was totally committed to the children and staff of our schools and his passing is a great loss. I came to regard him as a friend, as well as a colleague and I shall miss his support, advice and humour.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
